There is a lot more to concert preparation than just tuning.  If you are an advanced pianist and want your piano to be in top shape for your performance, why settle for one of the other local "tooners" who does just that, tune only.  Unlike Mr. McClure, who is also a performing pianist, most other people who tune pianos don't play.  They rarely even know what the middle pedal is for on a grand, let alone the intricacies of a properly regulated action from within.   Give your self a break and have the piano properly prepared with some or all of Mr. McClure's performance enhancement techniques.  These include pedal adjustment, extremely fine and precise action regulation, bench tightening, and voicing.  But do keep in mind that Mr. McClure services up and down the Cumberland Valley from Chambersburg, PA to Martinsburg, WV and does not go east beyond Frederick, MD.
