McClure's Piano Shop

     Competition is tough and I've certainly had my share.  Unfortunately, the down economy has had a devastating effect on the piano business and one by one my competitors are quitting the business.  Last November 2010 Keyboard World on the Dual Highway closed .    This month, May 2011, Taylors Keyboards, also on the Dual Highway, closed.  That leaves just me, McClure's Piano Shop, as one of the only acoustic piano dealers remaining in the entire tri-state area.  Continuous sales and service for over 30 years.  A survivor.  Now you KNOW who you can count on!  That having been said, don't think for one moment that things have been real rosy here at my piano shop, however.  They haven't.  Two years ago when the economy went down and piano sales came to a complete halt, I embarked on a major diversification and split the store into two segments and created Action Appliances.  So now the piano shop is 816 Pope Ave., Hagerstown, and Action Appliances is at 818 Pope Ave.  It was a smart move and if I had NOT done it, I would also have closed my doors for good.  So now you can come to 816-818 Pope Ave. and get pianos in one side and fine used appliances in the other!  See you in one of the stores soon!

Being a mechanical wizard, by creating Action Appliances, I have enjoyed my perpetual need to analyze things that don't work properly, clean them, make them work correctly, and offer them for sale as fine, guaranteed, used appliances.  So whether working on pianos or appliances, I still do what I do best:  provide the public with fine reconditioned pianos or appliances and save them money!

     And believe it or not, I do the same thing now with real estate and farm tractors (since I live on a small farm in the country!).  A genuine Renaissance man.
